CJR can offer ducted propellers systems including any type nozzles (19A, 37, 22, custom shape, etc) and impellers (Kaplan type, modified Kaplan, custom type) also under full IACS approval.
This type of propulsion found popular application on tug boats, mooring vessels, harbour service boats, trawling and fishing boats or bow/stern thrusters. CJR custom design can assure highest bollard pull and towing performance for given power and operating condition.
Ducted propellers and nozzles can be designed and analysed using specific in-house lifting surface programs and CFD to assure highest efficiency of the entire system.
Impellers and ducted propellers manufacture process is identical to CJR Propellers.
Nozzles can be fabricated of mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium or cast in bronze or inject mould in glass/plastic.
For keyed hub-shaft connections CJR offer a hydraulic pusher/ puller for quick and simple coupling and propeller attachment as well as Propsmith, a mechanical system for easy propeller fitting and removal.
Keyless shaft-hub connections can be serviced by hydraulic fit equipment also available at CJR.
In order to analyse the performance of our propellers in the field, we have developed a sea trials system, TrialsAPP which can be used on trials.
CJR also repair and replace existing nozzles, ducted propellers and impellers or retro fit.
