CJR propels Numarine yachts

CJR Propulsion has been selected to design and manufacture the stern gear for Turkish performance motor yacht builder, Numarine. The new contract marks the start of an exciting new venture between two of the most dynamic and forward thinking businesses in the industry.

Istanbul based Numarine, will be using CJR’s stern gear on all of its yachts which include the luxurious 102’ RPH, 78’ Fly, 78’ HT, 55’ Fly, 55’ HT and 55’ Sport. Each of the yachts has been designed using cutting edge design and state of the art technology. The adoption of CJR’s propellers supports Numarine’s drive to produce strong lightweight vacuum assisted resin infused yachts that achieve higher performance with smaller engines. This significantly improved range and efficiency also leads to lower emissions.

CJR’s design team are working closely with Numarine’s engineers to improve the shaftline, which includes shafts, P-brackets and rudders as well as the propellers. The boats will benefit from a performance boost courtesy of CJR’s custom M-R-K propellers, which are unique profiles individually tailored to a specific vessel. These are optimised to deliver maximum speed, responsiveness and efficiency.

Rob Billington, General Manager at Numarine says, “Numarine prides itself in being a forward thinking company with a focus on superior design and advanced technology resulting in yachts that deliver outstanding performance. CJR has a worldwide reputation as a supplier of high quality, high performance products and I believe that they are the best company to support Numarine with its ambitious objectives. We are continually looking to raise the bar in terms of performance and refinement in order to give our customers outstanding value for their money.”

The development of the M-R-K Superprop range forms part of an ongoing investment programme at CJR. The company has already invested millions of pounds into a purpose designed Engineering Centre, a specialised CAD/CAM Design Centre, new machinery and investment in new staff.

With over 75 years’ experience, CJR Propulsion is a leading supplier to the world’s leading boat builders.
